I really don't remember how I started watching Bleach. Maybe if I keep typing I'll remember.
I have watched all the Bleach episodes I possibly could on YouTube. I hear they are starting to pull them down. I watched a few episodes to find out where to go to download episodes since I can't do it on YouTube anymore. I see that Dattebayo subs most of the Bleach episodes I have been watching and somehow I end up at this website, so I register at www.bleachportal.net Yes! Finally, I can download the episodes, but look at this, I need to download some sort of Bittorent reader. It starts to get complicating! But I figure it out and watch the last episode that was released in Japan (subbed in English of course)
Awesomeness! But damn I want to know what happens next.
It's all coming back to me. Besides being a geek and watching Bleach, I am also a gamer. For the past 2 1/2 years I have been playing World of Warcraft (That's a whole different blog right there) My guildmates first pointed me to Bleach, and in turn I have pointed Bleach to some guildies. Now we are a bunch of gaming, Bleach watching nerds. But that is beside the point.
One of my guildies watched every episode of Bleach and in turn started reading the Manga. Yes, that's a good idea! My oldest daughter told me about Manga a while ago. Her friend lets her borrow them. They are like comics, Japanese anime comics.
I searched bleachportal for the Manga, and the process wasn't that great for me. I had to download each "scanlated" (scanned and translated into english) page. Then open each file to read one page. If you use Windows, you can open the folder that contain these pages and change the view to thumbnails and just use your arrow keys to switch between them, of course maximize your window for a better view.
I downloaded a few chapters. I had to randomly download episodes, because the manga and the episodes don't exactly sync together. The episodes are compiled of a few manga chapters, so in turn there are not as many episodes as there is manga. The titles of the chapters do not help either, they are random titles with very deep mysterious hidden messages like "Strawberries of Death", or "Death of Strawberries", or "Of Strawberries and Death", or "Deathly Strawberries?", or "Rainbow Sunshine Ponies".
I find the corresponding episode and chapters, thanks to the help of a guildie, (thanks Dalimur) who tells me that it should be 100 more then the last episode. So if the episode is 113, look near chapter 213. And there I find some familiar looking chapters. After a few I get lazy and quit downloading.
Yesterday, I was playing with my sidekick and for the heck of it I Google bleach manga and I find a blogger (http://shc221b.blogspot.com) that actually translates and posts each manga chapter online, no downloading required! I could actually read it on the sidekick which was pretty cool. Unfortunately, you can't read everything, especially if they use the super tiny minuscule sized text. Which brings me to the conclusion that Danger, the makers of the sidekick, should put in some feature where you can zoom in on web pages, that would be sweet!
I had a few problems with the blog reading. Sometimes some of the images wouldn't load, or the images bandwith has exceeded its limit. Nothing YouTube can't fix. I found you can go to YouTube and watch the Manga! Scanlated pages made on a video. The quality is not the best, but its good enough. The background music is a plus.
So far I have read all the manga I could read. 120 episodes and 273 chapters later, I still need to find out what happens next. I guess all I can do now is wait.

hi hi thanks for the feedback about my blog..
I have few questions to make, who did you refer as "Danger" in your post?
And may I know which chapter is now unreadable? ^_^
Well my blog is handled by me alone, so I couldn't possibly check everything. I rely on user feedback to know which chapter has missing pages.
Hope you enjoy my blog :)
Yes, love your blog, saved me alot of time!
Danger is the company that makes the Sidekick, a phone provided by T-Mobile that you can email, message and view webpages, but the size is very small so i can only see the larger print and the pictures, which is fine with me, I can always read the chapters later on my computer.
I also read all of the chapters on your blog within a 2 day span, the first day I saw in your Contents section a little link that shows a popup of all the chapters that appears when you click it. That is very handy on the computer. The second day (yesterday) I saw that the popup was gone and all the chapters were added to the bottom of the page instead and it referred there. Sooo convenient on the Sidekick or any mobile device I imagine. is it possible to also put the chapters at the bottom again? Or maybe another link or blog that refers to all of the chapters?
by looking back at the history of my youtube searches it looks like chapter 232 has some missing links
and looks like 249, but 249 looks alright today.
But keep up the good work, I enjoy your website and I may even move on to Naruto or Vagabond next, and I'll be sure to note which pages are missing.
Oh I thought you were referring to my blog :) sorry for misunderstanding lol.
I see a potential visitors coming from mobile phone now..as more mobile phone can view webpages like N95. This is a great opportunity. But then what will happen to the advertisement ? Is it still displayed ? :P
As for the links, I might suggest you to look at my delicious bookmark. It's shown at the bottom too. The reason I made the links shown after click is that I want to make the blog looks cleaner ^_^
But from your feedback..it seems that people don't even care if it looks neat or not :P as long as they can read their favorite manga anywhere.
bleach 232 has been fixed. enjoy :)
