Everything Back to Normal

Michael finally came home and things are settling in again. It is very different when your spouse comes back from a deployment. You have this long period of independence that you have to get used to and then all of a sudden you have to change again and adjust back to the way things were before. Except with every deployment you realize how much more or less you need your other half.

I hear many stories of how husbands come back and they come home to an empty house because their wives packed up and left and took everything. Am I a minority? Am I the only one who was very happy to see him? It sure looked like it at the airport. I got all dressed up and decked out to surprise Michael at the airport. I didn't see many other wives. The few that I saw didn't look too thrilled.

I am very happy to have him back home. Now to go back to work or finding a new job...that is a whole different story!

I'm Not Holding My Breath..

I'm not suprised, I'm just disappointed. The bad news is Michael won't be coming home when he is supposed to. He was supposed to be here within the next couple weeks. I will just have to wait longer to see him. Unfortunately, he will be missing Ember's birthday. That is the military for you. The good news is he is alive and I would wait for him forever!
