Caffeine headache, ouch!

This morning I woke up and took my kids to my friend's house so that I could go to work, which I only do once a week. It's only a five hour shift, but by the end of it, the base of my head was throbbing and getting worse. I realize I didn't have that daily dose of Diet Coke in the morning. Caffeine headache!

The discussion of healthy living has been brought up to me a few times within the past week. Discussions on eating, exercising, dieting, vitamins and supplements included. I have definitely decided that I should try to quit eating sugar, and possibly things made of white flour. I've also decided to start walking again.

About 5 years ago, my husband went to Saudi Arabia for a deployment in the military. I used to go to the 24 hour gym on base at about midnight and walk for an hour 3-5 days a week. I also quit drinking soda and only drank water. I lost 60 lbs doing this.

Well now that he is deployed again, I think it may be time to try it out again. This time I am debating on sticking with caffeine. I have read all about caffeine through many sources online. It has both negative and positive factors, but there isn't enough negative information to fully convince me that caffeine is bad. I don't think I will quit caffeine, but I think maybe I'll slow down on it instead. I love my diet coke! I love drinking hot tea. I'm not quitting.
