Randomness

If that is even a word...

Michael and I went out today to do things. He's getting ready for a class so he needed to get him some new uniform pieces today. We are definitely not in the same shape we were in 10 years ago, our waistlines are the proof.

I had my blood drawn today. I need to get some catscanning done on my boobie area. Just a bit of following up after the nasty pneumonia attack, which I think I still haven't got rid of yet. I'm still hacking up a lung here and there. Mornings are pretty terrible. I say I give myself an hour for the fluids to start running before I need to relieve the pressure from my face. Nights aren't too bad although the other night I had a short lived cough attack when I went to lie down. I was probably drowning myself for a minute. But in a couple weeks we'll see what they can find. All I have to say is I am super happy I don't have to remove any metal from my body.

I ate a pulled pork sandwich today. Pulled pork...oh you're so dirty!

Bed Bath and Beyond is too much for me to handle. It's like an orgy of visual goodness and temptation up the ying yang. Of course, I do not need 99.999999% of anything in that store although it would all be nice if I want to do some fancy living. I came out of there with a rabbit wine bottle cork opener, because I'm a sissy when it comes to that and if Michael is not around then Jonette is not a fancy wine drinker.

I believe we are getting a kitten tomorrow. Surprisingly, it was Michael's idea. He seems to want one right now. Petsmart is a stinky place. Or at least the one we went to is. I'm guessing it is the dogs. We ended up going to the animal shelter to check it out and Michael found a perfect candidate...unfortunately, we were 15 minutes too late to adopt one. By the way, the website lied. Lied is the name of the shelter, imagine that! Although I do prefer black cats because they remind me of my first cat Lucifer (RIP), this cat we are getting is a brown and white striped tabby. So since I didn't get to pick it out, I'm naming her Mrs. Lovett. Michael doesn't like it. But the girls seem thrilled with it.

Michael lost his battle with the search for the Beertender tonight. Apparently, Bed Bath and Beyond has them but they are pretty pricey. He saw it in Costcos but of course they don't have it now. Costcos is good about that. Don't even get me started on those Valdosta pecans. We went to Target to see if it was there but we ended up walking out with cat supplies instead.

I ate sushi tonight. Did I ever write that I love sushi, but I really hate raw fish. We ate dinner with Chris and Susie, our long time military friends. I met them years ago when we were stationed in Cheyenne, Wyoming. They were our next door neighbors and we lived in the "hood" as I like to call it. They were sent to California and I didn't see them for a few years. When we PCSed to Vegas they ended up getting sent here soon after. Now they are packing it up (literally) and shipping off back to Cheyenne, Wyoming. Bless your poor little souls, I feel for you, say hi to the wind for me. For the love of baby Jesus, I hope to the sweet mother of all things that are pure and good in this world that we don't end up seeing them again in Cheyenne. Although, my other old neighbor Trina, who has been stationed in Cheyenne twice, always used to tell me that everyone always goes back to Cheyenne. It is like the brown sucking trap door to Hell. It is impossible to have nice hair...unless you use tons of hairspray.
