Just a Little Sad Inside

Yes, that is right, I am feeling a little sad today. I was looking forward to going back to Hawaii this year to see my family and just to go back home for a little bit. It was going to be awesome! Michael would've been there with us this time and the girls...well they just love it there.

That's not going to happen. We planned on using our free vouchers and coupons to go, but it just so happens that the airline that gave them to us declared bankruptcy this morning. Oh well, I guess that means we aren't going. Bummer.

I'm pretty sure that some people don't even know what that means. I am truly sad that I won't be able to see my oldest daughter this year. I know some other people that were affected by this situation also. I'm sure there are lots more that got completely screwed over by this. They are probably stranded in some crazy airport with a bunch of other disgruntled passengers.

I can't really complain though. I didn't pay for these flights, and I am so glad I didn't start booking reservations anywhere. I know someone who actually did pay for their flight, and now they aren't sure what happens next or what to do, or how they will get to Hawaii for their honeymoon.

We are a broken economy. Things seem to be turning sour in the financial world. But while many people suffer, I am glad that the oil company executives are basking in their profits worth billions. I can only write about so much before my blog starts becoming more and more political. Honestly, I hate to go there. Fuck all of you greedy bastards. Everyone better start going green. We should all just turn hippy and live in the boonies and only use oil to cook our eggs and slick our hair back.
